SNAP Cats rescued Poe from Orange County, CA. Poe came to us as a tiny kitten with a broken leg and pelvis. Both healed quickly, and now Poe loves to run, climb and play with his kitty friends. He's a sensitive soul who's always checking in to see how the other cats are doing, and welcoming new cats into the fold. Poe also loves people and will make a great addition to any family, especially one with other cats about his age.

Thanks to a generous Operations Grant from @petfinderfoundation, we’re able to purchase three months’ worth of food for Poe as he awaits his forever home.

Adoption fee is a donation in an amount that the adopter feels is appropriate. All prospective adopters must fill out an adoption application, then meet with an adoption councilor. For local adoptions we perform a home inspection.

Animal shelters around the world are full. The first cats to be killed are special needs, elderly and those deemed “unadoptable.” That’s unacceptable.

SNAP Cats is a unique rescue and sanctuary in Santa Rosa, CA (Sonoma County) dedicated to special needs cats. We rescue special needs cats from all around the world, house them, then find them warm, loving homes. We believe, if given time, that ALL cats can find the home that they deserve.

All of our SNAP Cats, regardless of health, age or temperament, are available for adoption or foster care. Those who are not adopted, due to age, illness or temperament, are able to live out the remainder of their natural lives here, in a peaceful, healthy, serene environment.
