Meet Ryder! ✨ You may remember seeing him on Pack Leader Dogs as one of the dogs in their Rescue- Rehabilitate- Rehome program. After the past two months in training, he is readier than ever to cruise into his forever home! 🚘
Ryder a 1-year-old terrier mix with a playful spirit and a strong desire to connect. At about 50 lbs, Ryder is athletic yet affectionate, always ready for activity, then happy to settle and relax once his needs are met.
Ryder is a higher-energy dog who has benefited from professional training and structure. He’s completed an advanced behavior program that equipped him with excellent skills for daily life. He walks calmly on leash, knows “place,” “sit,” and “down,” is crate trained, and even enjoys running alongside a bike. Ryder also participates in pack walks and has learned to channel his energy in positive, focused ways.
Social, confident, and playful, Ryder does well with other dogs and enjoys being part of an active environment. He hasn’t been tested with cats, but with proper guidance, he may adapt well.
Ryder would do best with an adopter who leads an active lifestyle and can provide him with consistent exercise and structure. He thrives when paired with a calm, confident human who enjoys being outdoors and maintaining routine. Whether in a house with a yard or an apartment with regular activity, Ryder is ready to bring enthusiasm, loyalty, and balance to his next chapter.

We ask all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which allows us to check certain points of reference (vets, home ownership status, previous pets, etc). If the application looks good, the adopter signs the adoption contract which states, among other things, the animal(s) will have a permanent home with said adopter and if for any reason this becomes impossible, the animal must be returned to Four Legs Good. Four Legs Good reserves the right to place a follow-up phone call or visit, with notice, within the first year of adoption.

Four Legs Good is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing the most humane treatment of Rockland County animals in need. We started as a small group of dedicated volunteers who decided to make a difference in the lives of feral, homeless and abandoned animals. We are currently working out of the RG CARES Animal Shelter.
