Meet Kore: The Tiny Tornado of Fun!

If you’re looking for a companion who is 100% "go-go-go," meet Kore! He is the high-energy heartbeat of the house and is always looking for his next big adventure (or his next snack).

The Scoop on Kore:

Playtime Professional: Kore has a motor that never quits. Whether it's chasing a feather, pouncing on a toy, or zooming across the room, he is always in motion. Sitting still? He’s heard of it, but he’s not really a fan. In Your Face (Literally): Kore isn't shy about his needs. If he’s hungry, bored, or craving a little love, he will be right in your personal space letting you know. He’s a bold boy who knows exactly what he wants! Lap Naps on His Schedule: While he’s usually too busy to be picked up or held (he’s got places to be!), he does have a sweet, soft side. Once he finally wears himself out, he loves to find a warm lap to crash on for a recharge. Independent Spirit: He’s a "hands-off" kind of guy when he’s playing—he’d rather run with you than be carried by you.

Kore is looking for an active home that can keep up with his zest for life. If you want a friend who will keep you entertained and isn't afraid to tell you when it's dinner time, Kore is your man!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Apply online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SHDY/Cat

2.
Interview

We will call to discuss the kind of cat you would like to add to your family. We will also contact your vet and references so let them know!

3.
Approve Application

You receive an email with a tentative approval pending your home visit, with a link to schedule it at your convenience.

4.
Home Check

A quick video home visit to alert you to any dangers in your home or areas of concerns for a cat (example - crystal glassware on shelves).

5.
Meet the Pet

Come meet a specific cat at a meet and greet planned for you or come to one of our adoption events to pick out your new friend.

6.
Sign Adoption Contract

The adoption contract lists your responsibilities for the safety and health of your new family member.

7.
Pay Fee

Standard domestics: $150 young kitten, $125 juvenile kitten, $75 adult. You pay when you adopt or if you choose to reserve.

Shady's Paw Animal Rescue works diligently to pair our cats with the perfect home. The adoption process can be done in a few hours or it can take weeks - it just depends on when your references call us back and when you schedule your home visit.

Go meet their pets

Adoption events are held regularly in the community at Petco Winchester VA every other Saturday. Additional events are held at area festivals, wineries, breweries, and parks. Approved adopters can schedule a private meet and greet with their chosen pet. Same day adoptions are not done, so please apply in advance of any adoption event to give us time to check vet and personal references and to complete the video home visit.
