My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact Janice (janice.frazier@sbcglobal.net) for more information about this pet.

Such a handsome boy and so happy!

Smokey is part Maine Coon we think - he sure has some of the general traits, and his easy-going personality is one of them. Right at home in the foster home just look at him take over the couch and best view of the holiday tree! Smokey and Felix are very friendly kitties that sadly were left at a vet's office in a cardboard box. The vet asked us to rescue the kitties and so we have! How could we not, so cute and friendly! Both are boys, they are very well behaved and quiet, and find the turbo track very interesting particularly liking to sit on the center!!!! And we've seen Smokey putting his leg under the door to reach out for toys right outside their room!!!
The pair get along very well, sleeping together (that's them at a petfair napping together!) when they aren't saying hi to you and rubbing on your legs, and it would be ideal if they could be adopted together.

13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.

We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat

More about this rescue

13th Street Cats is an all volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral and social cats and reducing the population by TNR – Trap, Neuter, Return in Santa Clara County. Kittens and cats that can be socialized are taken into foster care while waiting adoption. With a no kill philosophy, 13th St Cats is pleased to be able to rescue these homeless animals who might otherwise end up in a local kill shelter, helping to reduce euthanasia rates.
