My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ada is the cutest 2-year-old brown tabby with a soft coat and a knack for being a sweet angel. She’s friendly, social, and loves being near her people, whether you’re hanging out on the couch or working at your laptop, where she’s happy to sit right next to you.

She’s also an excellent greeter. She’s an easy-going girl who’s just as happy playing and chasing toys as she is taking cat naps near you. She is very zen but has a playful side too - she enjoys her toys and looking out the window at all of the commotion.

After she gets her zoomies out, she turns into a sweet, affectionate cuddle bug who’s more than happy to curl up with you.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and laid-back companion, who likes playing and cuddling, Ada would be the perfect companion.

This cat can be adopted with a friend or as a single cat.

More about this rescue

Our rescue group was formed in December 2007, but all our Board Members have had extensive experience rescuing and working with abandoned animals. We often work with other rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We regularly go to areas with abandoned animals and collect them. The animals are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home.

For those animals who are truly wild and feral, we release the animal in a safe and secure location after it has recovered from its medical treatment. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is focused on improving the welfare of the abandoned animals in need of help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on the animals.

Aside from a few minimal overhead costs such as our website and phone services, our entire budget is spent on animal care such as medical and food costs.
