Meet Yoda, a 2-year-old, 16-pound Terrier/Shih Tzu mix with a big personality packed into a petite body. With his wispy, “wild child” ears and mischievous sparkle, Yoda is equal parts charm, fun, and heart.
Originally found as a stray, Yoda is now in a loving foster home while he waits for his forever family. He is a very sweet—but shy—boy who needs a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and space he needs to feel safe and confident.
Yoda tends to bond most closely with one person, and it can take time and patience for him to feel comfortable around others in the household. If you’re familiar with the 3-3-3 rule (and if not, we encourage you to look it up!), it describes Yoda perfectly. He isn’t a dog who settles in instantly, but with consistency and kindness, he truly blossoms. Once trust is established, he becomes deeply affectionate and wonderfully loyal. Yoda must be in a home where everyone understands and respects his need to move at his own pace.
An energetic and happy pup, Yoda loves to stay active. Long walks, games of fetch, hikes, shopping trips, and patio dining are all right up his alley. He would also enjoy having a friendly canine companion to wrestle and learn from, as well as a fenced yard for zoomies and sunny lounging.
Yoda is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines—fully ready for his next great adventure. Now all he needs is the right person (or people) to take that journey with him.
