My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Kit-Cat was brought in by their previous owner on 12/2/2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Kit-Cat is a sweet and playful kitty looking for a loving home. She may be shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, her affectionate and friendly personality truly shines.
Per her previous owner, Kit-Cat LOVES her bouncy ball-she'll leap into the air like a little soccer star just to bat at it! She has a lively, fun-loving spirit and enjoys interactive playtime. She also loves being petted and brushed, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys bonding through gentle affection.
Kit-Cat has done well with dogs and kids in the past, making her a great fit for a variety of homes. She would thrive in a patient, caring environment where she can settle in at her own pace and share her playful, loving nature.

At SDHS:
Kit-Cat has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Kit-Cat is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
