My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Phoebe arrived:
Phoebe was brought in by a community member on December 14th, 2025.

Why Phoebe is the one for you:
Meet Phoebe! This sweetie came to us with her adorable puppies-Chandler (977007), Ross (977008), and Joey (977009). Could this family BE any cuter? Phoebe is a friendly, easygoing girl who has done wonderfully around both kids and adults. She has gentle, loving energy and enjoys being around her people, making her the kind of dog you'll want to hang out with every day at Central Perk. When coming to meet or adopt Phoebe, please remember to bring a leash and collar-she's ready to pivot from mom life to being your new best friend.

At SDHS:
Phoebe has been vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. Phoebe is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
