My story

Their adoption process

We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Adoption steps

  1. Interview
    1. Once you see a kitty you like either on our website or any of the social media, call us for a quick screening.
  2. Meet the Pet
    1. If your interview goes well, we will have you arrange a meeting time with the kitty's foster.
  3. Home Check
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Once you meet the kitty, if you and the kitty are a good fit for each other, then you will sign the contract and pay the adoption fee.
  5. Pay Fee
  6. Take the Pet Home
    1. You will need a carrier when you are meeting your potential kitty, because you will need something to take it home in. :)

Go meet their pets

Due to the pandemic, most of our adoptions are done virtually. Some of our cats are also available for adoption from their foster homes.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2017, we rescued and rehomed approximately 500 cats.
