My story

I am Grumpy Spice. I don't know where that name came from except I was maybe a little grumpy at first. But I'm cute and that makes all the difference!

It has taken me a long time to warm up to people but my foster mom has been so patient and loving, I have decided that I like humans. I am still a bit shy and may run from you at times but other times I will run all over your leg and try to get your attention.

I love the dogs in my foster home and get along with all the nice kitties. I am looking for a patient family to give the time to adjust to a new home and my forever family. Give me time and I'll be your best kitty girl ever! Please.

Clear Creek Cat Rescue rehomes kitties based on 'best fit' approach. We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Dur to pandemic, we are doing virtual adoptions and slowly transitioning to in person. Our cats are available for adoption from their foster homes located all over southcentral Alaska.

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help.
In 2020, we rescued and rehomed approximately 650 cats.
