My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Banjo, a cheerful tuxedo-coated boy who's ready to bring joy, laughs, and plenty of tail wags to his new family! This handsome pup is already neutered, microchipped, and comes with 6 weeks of complimentary training classes to help him keep building his skills and confidence.

Banjo is a happy-go-lucky guy who loves heading out for walks - every outing is an adventure, and he greets the world with bright eyes and an eager trot. He's also super smart, picking up cues quickly and always ready to show off what he's learned (especially if you have a tasty treat or some praise ready!).

With his upbeat personality and fun-loving spirit, Banjo is the perfect buddy for someone looking for a playful, affectionate companion who's excited to learn and grow by your side. He's all set for his next adventure - he just needs you to walk beside him!

More about this shelter

Established in 1929, Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) offers quality adoptions, affordable spaying/neutering, vaccinations and microchipping services, pet care services and education programs to enhance the human-animal bond. HSSV operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are the first organization in the country to meet the guidelines put forth by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians for standards of care for shelter animals: We are the first model shelter.

We are also the first animal community center in the nation to receive Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Our mission is to save lives, keep families together, and create a better future for pets and their people.

Our vision is a world where all animals can thrive, all people experience the magic of the human-animal bond, and all families are able to care for their pets.
