My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chip!

Chip is a 4-year-old dachshund–corgi mix with a big personality packed into a perfectly low-riding body. He came to us after being surrendered to a local shelter due to potty accidents and discomfort around kids. Once in foster care, it turned out Chip was dealing with a bladder infection—which has since been treated—and resolving that issue made a hugedifference in his house-training success.

Chip can be a little hesitant with new people and lots of chaos, so he’s looking for a calmer, quieter home where he can settle in at his own pace. That said, once he feels safe, his fun-loving and affectionate side really shines. He’s a lively little guy who loves exploring the yard, keeping an eye on his surroundings, and soaking up quality cuddle time—especially being held by his foster mom.

He enjoys the company of other dogs and would do well with a friendly canine companion, but he could also be perfectly happy as a spoiled single pup. Chip is crate trained, leash trained, and mostly house trained; he may mark in new environments at first, but consistency helps him do well. Due to his dislike of chaotic spaces and need for quiet space, it is best of Chip find a home with no young children.

Chip is sweet, sensitive, and full of charm. If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick who will thrive in a peaceful home and reward you with affection and personality, Chip just might be your guy.
