Lucky is a delightful young kitten who has been lovingly raised in a foster home alongside his brother, Lionel. He is affectionate, playful, and well-adjusted, with a sweet temperament and a curious nature. Lucky enjoys engaging playtime, cozy naps, and watching the world outside the window. He would flourish in a caring forever home where he can continue to receive love and companionship. While Lucky would be happy to be adopted with his brother, Lionel, this is not required, and he would also make a wonderful companion on his own.

AS OF JANUARY 2018:
Dogs: $100 - Includes Heartworm/Lyme/Ehrlichia Test, DHLPP and Rabies Vaccination, Dewormings, flea and tick treatment (if needed), and Spaying/Neutering.

Puppies (0-6 months): $150 - Includes 3 DHLPP Vaccinations, 3 Dewormings, a Certificate for a Rabies Vaccination, flea and tick treatment (if needed), and Spaying/Neutering by a participating veterinarian.

Cats: $40 (or 2 for $50) Includes Feline Leukemia/Aids test, 2 RCP Vaccinations, Rabies Vaccination, 2 Dewormings, flea and tick treatment (if needed), and Spaying/Neutering.

Kittens (0-6 Months): $80 (or 2 for $120) includes a Feline Leukemia/Aids test, 3 RCP Vaccinations, 3 Dewormings, Certificate for a Rabies Vaccination, flea and tick treatment (if needed), and Spaying/Neutering by a participating veterinarian.

More about this shelter

Located on Stagebridge Road (Rt. 624) and Rt. 29 just two miles north of Lovingston on 2 acres of Land.
Houses animals in "real-life rooms".
A Spacious lobby/waiting room and reception area.
13 rooms for dogs which will hold 2 to 3 dogs depending on size.
4 cat rooms for multiple numbers of cats.
Two isolation rooms, one for dogs and one for cats.
A room for bathing and grooming.
A food preparation area.
A conference/meeting room.
Inside and outside exercise areas for dogs.
Open seven days a week.
Animals being surrendered by their owners are accepted on a space available basis if they are judged to be adoptable. Animals are also selected from unclaimed or unwanted animals at the Nelson County Animal Control Facility after they are evaluated by the HS/SPCA and judged to be adoptable. Strays will continue to go through Animal Control.

No animal will be put down unless it is judged to be dangerously aggressive or untreatably ill. Almost Home Pet Adoption Center now has several part-time employees
but still relys heavily on volunteer help.
