My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JACK is a 7 month old, beautiful boy with a rich jet-black coat (he looks like a mini panther), and eyes that shift between gold and green (depending on the light). He is ultra-affectionate, playful, curious and brave. His favorite pastimes are snuggling, giving hugs, being held like a baby, crinkly balls, being petted, and all interactive toys.

My name is Jack. Do you seek affection? I do! The moment you walk into a room, I have one mission: to flop down in your arms like a baby and purr while gazing into your eyes. My brothers (Jesse and Gordy) are also very affectionate, so we will soon become a puddle of kitten cuddles on your lap. After snuggles, comes play. I am a very busy boy during playtime and love being in the middle of the action. Toss a crinkly ball and I will sprint, pounce, and bat at it - and then bring it right back so we can do it again. But wait! There’s more! You'll also find I'm an excellent assistant and will supervise you while you work. I am looking for someone who is ready to be completely adored by a devoted shadow who believes the best spot in any house is wherever you are. It does take me a little while to think that new people are okay.

Jack is in the same foster home as his brothers, Jesse and Gordy, and they love playing and cuddling together. Jack uses the carpeted scratching tree and enjoys hanging out on top. He has not been around other cats or children in the program. Jack also gets along with the foster’s cat-respectful small dog. Remember, cats can live 18+ years so be sure you can give them their forever homes.

Jack is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative and distemper and rabies vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200 (or $350 for a pair). Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about this very affectionate handsome boy.

Additional adoption info

Initial contact is made by leaving a message on the Second Chance's answering machine - expect a return call within 24 hours. Potential adopters will be screened before a referral is made to the foster home where the animal is currently housed. They can expect to fill out a written application, sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee when meeting the animals. Adopters must be at least 20 years old. If renting, the landlord's consent in writing is required or a copy of the lease brought with adopter at time of adoption. Must have familiarity with local animal ordinances so you know how many cats/dogs you are permitted - this will vary from city to city. Potential adopters must understand that their application can be denied.
