Take the Pet Home
Hi, my name is Daxx! Let me take you through a day in my life.
My mornings usually start with a trip outside to go potty—because I’m a good boy and I don’t have accidents in my crate overnight. When I come back in, it’s breakfast time. After I eat, I head right back to sleep for a couple more hours.
Once I’m up again, it’s time to go outside, followed by lots of play, play, play—with bathroom breaks sprinkled in, of course. At my foster home, I have five other doggy siblings to play with, and oh boy, is it great! Watch Daxx play! Around midday, I enjoy a nice long nap on the couch for a couple of hours.
When I wake up, I make sure everyone knows it’s time to go outside by running to the door and pawing at it. Then it’s back to playing again. My foster home also has these things called cats. Foster mom is always reminding me that we don’t chase the kitties. I think they’re just big, fluffy toys! I’ve never hurt them, but I sure would love to play.
In the evening, I enjoy another meal, followed by—you guessed it—more playtime. When I’m finally ready for bed, I curl up on my foster dad’s lap and start snoring the moment my head hits him. At bedtime, foster dad tucks me into my crate, where I sleep soundly until morning.
I’m just your typical puppy. I love to play, chew on bones, soft toys, and anything else I’m allowed to have in my mouth. I’m working very hard on my potty training and sleep in my crate at night since I’m not quite 100% yet—but foster mom says I’m almost there. I would love to have a sibling to play with in my future home!
Daxx is from Texas. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

*Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
