My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Sophia, a one-year-old kitty with a story to tell. I was a stray who gave birth in a kind lady’s garden, in Amman, Jordan, who kept warm cat beds out to protect us from the cold. I had four beautiful babies, and I was the kindest mamma cat. The lady saw how sweet and kind I was and decided that my babies and I needed to find a home, so she took us in and took good care of us. A few months later, I got a terrible mastitis and had to have a complete mastectomy. I almost died, but the doctors saved me and I was able to return to my babies after over a month of treatment.

My little ones are all grown now so I am now ready to find a home. My sweet disposition compelled my rescuer to contact CDA to find me a home in the United States I am a little bit shy at first, but very gentle and warm. I don’t like loud noises and need a quiet, safe, and gentle home. I am okay with other cats if they do not bother me, but my favorite companions are humans.

I am spayed, vaccinated, litterbox trained, and very ready to meet my forever family. Oh, and did I mention that I have the most beautiful fur color and pattern and the most striking green eyes?

Their adoption process

1.

Interview

First, we have a chat with the potential adopter to see if they are eligible to fill out an adoption application.

2.

Submit Application

After we have a chat, if we feel like the adopter shows promise, we offer them an adoption application.

3.

Home Check

If their application gets approved, we conduct another video call where we do a home walk-through.

4.

Approve Application

If all goes well, then we will proceed with approving the application.

Additional adoption info

We conduct our interviews in video form so that we can gain a better idea of whether or not the applicant is eligible for consideration in adopting one of our rescue animals. If we feel that the person may be a good fit, we will do a meet and greet with the rescue they are interested in adopting,
