Leo is the kind of dog you don't forget once you meet him. He was adopted from us five years ago and spent those years living a truly happy, loved life with his dad. Recently his dad had to make the heartbreaking decision to bring Leo back - trusting us to help him find another wonderful home. We're determined to honor that trust.
Leo is small, healthy, and incredibly easy to love. He walks like an absolute dream on leash, knows his basics, and is very food motivated (which makes him a joy to work with). When he gets excited, he does the cutest little tippy-tappy toes - a tiny glimpse of the happiness he carries with him. He's loyal, gentle, and thrives on companionship, just like he always has.
Leo is ready for his next chapter - one filled with love, consistency, and the kind of bond he already knows so well. He's been someone's everything before, and he's more than ready to be that again.

Adoption viewing hours are from 8:00an-4:30 pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 12pm-2pm. You must have a valid drivers license to apply. We do not do home checks. Adoption fees are $35 for dogs/pups, $25 cats/kittens and $150 for horses.
Effective Monday, August 17,2015, LAFAYETTE ANIMAL SHELTER & CARE CENTER will begin accepting VISA, MASTERCARD and DISCOVER credit cards. There will be a 2.5% surcharge/convenience fee added to your total. This fee is not greater than our cost of acceptance.
Adoption viewing hours are from 8:00an-4:30 pm Monday-Friday and Saturdays 12pm-2pm. You must have a valid drivers license to apply. We do not do home checks. Adoption fees are $35 for dogs/pups, $25 cats/kittens and $150 for horses.
