Licorice was abandoned. Found excessively skinny in October, 2025, I started feeding him twice a day and he gained weight quickly. Exposed to the elements 24-hours a day, coyotes and owls, and many neighborhood cats, I brought him in three months later for medical treatment for an abscess which is healing nicely. His previous owners clearly were no longer taking care of him, nor can they be found.
My vet identified this cat as a neutered male, 5-6 years old. Healthy, but due to the neutering, likely getting picked on by other cats, and would continue to be if returned to the outside. Indoor situation is recommended.
Since crating the cat mid-December, this cat has been a dream. He is quiet and calm. He purs when pet. He allows the crate to be open without rushing out.
Unfortunately, I cannot keep the cat due to my living situation and others in the house.
Im looking for a great, likely quite indoor home or secure catio for this wonderful companion.
