Hello there!
My adventure begins in an expansive field, living beside a rural church, where I found myself dumped alongside a companion. For over a month, we roamed freely, until a kind-hearted lady noticed us. Her warm smile and gentle voice slowly earned our trust, leading us to a safe haven—the rescue.
At the veterinary clinic, I was given a thorough check-up. The vet estimated my age to be around one to one and a half years. Thanks to the care I received, I’m now neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and heartworm negative. I was even dubbed a "small-but-mighty superstar"!
Are you searching for a loyal sidekick who perfectly balances energy and snuggles? Look no further—because that’s me! Despite my small stature, my heart is enormous, with an even greater desire to become your best friend.
My wonderful foster mom describes me as an energetic playmate who absolutely adores squeaky toys and treats. I love to showcase my zoomie skills, racing around in pure joy! But don’t let my playful spirit fool you; the moment you sit down, I transform into your sweet little couch potato, content to snuggle right by your side. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of your hand petting me; it makes my heart soar!
I thrive in the company of kids, get along well with friendly dogs, and am tolerant of cats—though I believe a home without feline friends would be best to avoid tempting mischief.
I’m crate trained and sleep soundly through the night, finding comfort in my cozy space. I’m also catching on with leash training; while I’m not quite perfect yet, I’m making strides! As for potty training, I’m working on it, but haven’t quite perfected it just yet.
I truly embody the perfect mix of playful, snuggly, and loyal. If you’re ready for a partner filled with love and joy, I’m here, waiting to join you on this wonderful journey!

Safe Haven Animal Rescue Program (SHARP) is based in rural Polk County Tennessee. We have no shelter or animal control in our county. Currently we are the only 501C3 non-profit in the county. We advertise our animals out of state ,which gives them better odds of a happy long life.
Our dogs and cats are fostered in TN with loving families. You will have the opportunity to speak with the foster of the animal you are interested in. All our Cats and Dogs are completely vetted ,which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations , microchipped (dogs only)and heartworm testing (dogs) . All of them come with complete medical records ,which travel with them. Their adoption fee covers a health certificate from the vet and transport fee.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the Michigan area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs and cats are transported up to their new owner’s biweekly! We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog/cats can be returned to us if things don't work out. We try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date we have placed over a thousand dogs and cats in loving homes!

More about this rescue
2008 a small group of animal lovers met and started a group to be named Safe Haven Animal Rescue Program (SHARP). These animal lovers personally saw the effects of a rural county with no animal shelters. Polk County is in the far South-eastern corner of Tennessee. It is a very rural county with most of its 442 sq. miles belonging to the Cherokee National Forest. Unfortunately, the beauty of the mountains and forest has drawn people to drop family pets off to survive on their own.
SHARP’s dedicated members knew becoming a 501(c)3 would help with fund raising and achieve long term goals. With our new status achieved, SHARP put together a new mission statement and strategic plan to guide the group forward.
Our group consists of hard-working everyday volunteers with the passion to give time and love to every dog or cat taken in. Currently we use a foster based program to house our dogs and cats. Each dog or cat taken in is given all vaccinations, heartworm checked (dogs)and spayed/neutered before being offered for adoption. SHARP dogs and cats are kept with their foster parent and treated like a member of their own family. The foster-based system allows us to give detail to potential families about each dog’s and cat's characteristics and needs. Of course, the tears flow when it is time to hand a dog or cat over to a new family, but the tears are always followed up with a smile knowing one more dog or cat has a forever home.
