My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Narissa and I am a 5 year old calico/tortie from the streets of Detroit. It was a hard life and I was not doing well. Thankfully, I met a woman from Grand Rapids that scooped up my skin and bones and rescued me. I slept curled up in her lap as she drove the two hours home.

I have spent the last few months gaining weight and remembering how to be a cat. Meowing for treats, leaning into chin scratches and curling up behind my human’s legs as they sleep. I am gentle and curious with other cats but am still quite nervous about new situations. I think I could do well with a calm and respectful dog in the house. Also, I prefer slightly older kids. I would love a quieter household with a human that will help me to continue to blossom, trust and enjoy life again.

Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and de-wormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption.
