Hi there! I’m Pumpkin, and I’m currently staying at the Roswell Center while I get settled into a new chapter of my life. I came in with my kittens after being surrendered because I was scared of dogs, so a dog-free home would likely be my preference. Since I did well caring for my kittens, it’s very likely that I’d do just fine living with other feline friends, but I`ve never lived with adult cats before.
I’ve been reported to be good with people, and while I may still be adjusting to the busy shelter environment, I’m taking things one day at a time. With a calm, patient home and a little space to decompress, my personality has the potential to really shine. If you’re looking for a cat who just needs a fresh start and a safe, understanding home, I might be the one for you.
Love, Pumpkin

At the Atlanta Humane Society, we process adoptions two different ways depending on whether an animal is physically housed at our Atlanta or Roswell location or in a foster home. The adoption process is listed in each animal’s biography so that you’ll know if you need to fill out a pre-adoption application form or visit them at our shelter to adopt. You can learn more about our adoption processes on our adoption process page.

More about this shelter
At the Atlanta Humane Society, we take special care to make sure the animals we house are a good fit for the homes they go to. We have a variety of friendly, healthy, tail-wagging furry friends just brimming with love to give. They’ve been seen by a vet and a behavior team, are up-to-date on vaccines, and go home with starter kit to help you get started off on the right paw. Even if they can’t say it out loud, when you find the right animal, you’ll feel the gratitude and affection. Your new best friend is waiting for you!
