My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mudpie Max is a 78-lb neutered male, about 4 years old, and he’s here to prove that being big, handsome, and slightly confused by doors is a perfectly lovable combination.

Let’s address the elephant in the room: doors. Mudpie Max is absolutely baffled by them. Hinges? Openings? Which side is correct? These are clearly advanced concepts. Every doorway is a puzzle, and he’ll patiently stand on the wrong side staring at it like it’s a complicated math equation until you gently guide him through. It’s unintentionally hilarious—and undeniably part of his charm.

Once he does make it through the door, all bets are off. Mudpie Max is a full-throttle love bug. Sit on the floor and he’s coming in hot for snuggles, kisses, and enthusiastic full-body affection. The moment pets start, he dramatically melts into a floppy puddle, sliding onto his side like a toddler who’s decided he simply cannot go on without more love.

He’s playful, enjoys toys, and even has the impressive ability to self-entertain. Mudpie Max likes treats and takes them pretty nicely. He’s demonstrated that he can sit (once, proudly), but don’t expect consistency—his true passion is sitting on or next to you instead. Bonus goofball moment: after one treat, he briefly mistook fingers for snacks, then immediately corrected himself like the good boy he is.

Despite his size, Mudpie Max walks surprisingly well on leash. He may not realize just how large he is (small humans, beware of casual hip-checks), but with a little training tune-up and a home that appreciates affectionate chaos, he’s going to make someone incredibly happy.

If you’re looking for a goofy, loving, snuggle-obsessed companion with a heart as big as his head, Mudpie Max is ready to tumble his way into your life. ??
