My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Champ is an 8-year old stray with a gentle smile and a heart full of love. This sweet senior has likely seen a lot in his years and is now ready for a calm, comfortable home where he can finally relax and be cherished. Champ is heartworm positive, but don`t let that discourage you. Heartworms are treatable and not contagious, so they can`t be passed to your other animals. He has a kind, easygoing nature and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, low-key friend. He does know some basic commands. He might even teach you things we don`t know he can do. Champ may be a little older, but he still has plenty of love to give. Come meet Champ today. Adoption fee is $50 and that covers his neuter, microchip and vaccinations.

More about this shelter

Caddo Parish Animal Services is an open-admission shelter meaning no homeless animal is turned away. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and when that is not possible, find a new home for them, provided that they are healthy and not aggressive.
