Come visit me at PAW - Adoption fee $550 - Rosie is a young pup with a gentle, thoughtful soul. Unlike many dogs her age, she doesn’t come bursting with nonstop energy—instead, she’s quiet, observant, and a bit unsure of the big world around her. For much of her life, Rosie only knew the confines of a shed, so everything outside of that can feel overwhelming and startling. Since arriving at the shelter, Rosie has made meaningful progress thanks to the patience and kindness of the staff, who have shown her that the world isn’t always such a scary place. She still has a long journey ahead, but each small step forward is a huge victory for her. Rosie will need a patient, understanding adopter who has experience reading dog body language and is willing to help her build confidence. She’ll need guidance with manners, leash training, and learning to trust her surroundings at her own pace. Because she is sensitive to fast movements and loud noises, Rosie will do best in a home without young children. Once Rosie decides you’re her person, her love is absolute. She greets familiar faces with full-body wiggles and happily showers her favorite people with the biggest kisses. She may be shy at first, but her affection runs deep. Rosie could do well in a home with other animals, and having a confident dog friend might even help her come out of her shell. With time, patience, and love, Rosie has the potential to blossom into a devoted and wonderful companion.
