My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoran is a handsome nine-year-old cat with a laid-back, easygoing personality and the spirit of a much younger kitty. He acts younger than his age, is well-behaved, gentle, playful, and very affectionate. Once he feels safe, Zoran becomes incredibly friendly and loving. He can be shy around loud or sudden noises and will usually hide if visitors come over, but as soon as things settle down or he feels comfortable again, he comes right back out. Zoran prefers a calm home where he can relax and be himself. He might not be a fan of being picked up and isn’t much of a lap cat, he has his own special ways of showing love. At night, he’ll sleep with you, curled up by your head, snuggled in close, purring you to sleep while making biscuits on your neck. If you’re working at the computer, he’ll wedge himself between your arms, purring while you type around him. Zoran likes to follow his people from room to room, always greeting them at the door when they get home. He loves food, especially chicken pate, and has the funniest meow at feeding time. He’ll definitely let you know when he’s hungry. Zoran enjoys belly rubs until he’s had enough, and if you miss his cue, he’ll give a gentle warning swat, but never with claws. He starts purring almost as soon as you pet him and is truly a sweet, affectionate companion. Zoran would do best in a quiet home with someone who appreciates a loving, loyal cat who’s happy just being nearby. He MUST be the only pet in the home.

Zoran was found abandoned along a walking trail with several other cats. Luckily, he was rescued before the weather turned bad and now has a second chance to find his forever home at last.

If you’re looking for a calm, devoted buddy with a big heart and easygoing personality, Zoran might just be your guy.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
