My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: adult

Weight: 65

Location: New Hope, PA

Nicknames: Baby

Good with other dogs?: Yes.
She is perfect with other dogs.

Good with cats? possibly, she likes chickens

Good with children? yes

Activity Preference: Low maintenance overall but needs quality outside time., Will go with the flow, "Energy, do you mean like walking to my food bowl?"

IQ: Smart

Babette's favorite things: Babette loves people, she never had any before. She lived in a pen her entire life working for a breeder. She lived in hell. She had a wooden box. That was all she had. She is THE HAPPIEST lil lady now. She loves to look in the mirror, touch people, look into your eyes, hang out with other dogs especially her handsome boyfriend Cotton. She likes short walks and soaking up sunshine.

Babette is good at: meeting people, meeting dogs, staying in a crate, behaving in the house, going for car rides, making me feel safe, walking on a leash

Ideal home: another dog, a fenced yard

Training Needs:

Health issues: Babette is probably around 8. She is pretty healthy. Her bloodwork is great and her mouth is too. She still likes to run around and play but she is mostly just chill. She is so sweet and would make such a great companion!

Meet Babette

Babette is JOY! She is so happy to be with people and other dogs. She has such love in her eyes. She just loves life!

PLEASE READ: Adopters will not be considered without completing an application. Please visit www.AmericanBulldogRescue.org to apply! Remember - Adoption is always the best option! If you can't help by adopting a homeless pet, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to American Bulldog Rescue, 4 Terry Drive, Suite 1D Newtown, PA 18940 or paypal AmericanBulldogRescue@verizon.net. We cannot place dogs in homes with children under 10 unless that dog has lived with kids or is in a foster home with kids. Thank you.

To be considered for adoption, you must apply using our free, online application. Our dogs are fostered in our volunteers' homes, not in a central shelter/location. Only approved applicants are put into contact with the foster family to setup a meeting with the foster dog. Visit our Adoption Policies web page for more information and a link to our application: http://americanbulldogrescue.org/adoption-policies/.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

To adopt one of our love-a-bull dogs, you must submit an application on our website at www.americanbulldogrescue.org. Applications must meet minimum requirements (policies are listed our site). Applicants have their vet and personal references checked . The next step is a home visit by one of our volunteers. Finally, the applicant will be put in touch with the foster family to arrange to meet the dog! If a happy match is made, the applicants sign an adoption contract and provide an adoption donation. The donation is usually $400.

Go meet their pets

Adoption events will be posted on our Facebook page. Our foster dogs live in homes with our volunteers. We do not have a facility where interested people can visit the dogs. If you are interested in meeting any of our dogs, please submit an adoption application available on our website.
