If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Bicu is from a community in Oaxaca. His name means dog in Zapotec, the Indigenous language of the place he came from. He is now about 11 months old, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and licensed in Cambridge.
Bicu is goofy, loving, and full of zoomies. He is affectionate, funny, and loves to be close. He already knows sit, down, and paw, and he is eager to keep learning.
Like many young rescues, he also has some challenges. He is very high-energy, sometimes reactive with other dogs, and he struggles with separation anxiety. He is house-trained but needs regular outings and is still working on leash skills. With people, he is sweet and enthusiastic, sometimes a little too enthusiastic, and he is curious but gentle with cats.
