Piper is a 1-year-old female hound mix with a big personality and a lot to say! True to her hound roots, she's very vocal and loves to let you know what's on her mind. She's a playful, energetic girl who absolutely adores toys and can happily spend her time playing fetch with her favorite people.
Piper can be a bit shy, especially in new situations, so she's looking for a calm, patient home where she can build confidence at her own pace. Because of this, a home without small children is required. A mandatory dog meet is also needed to ensure she's a good match with any canine siblings.
With the right family, Piper will blossom into a fun-loving and loyal companion. HHHS has been a permanent part of the Topeka community since its founding May 4, 1938. The organization is incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) business for the purpose of sheltering companion animals in need of care, advocating for anti-cruelty protection of animals and promoting humane education and animal welfare issues. HHHS fosters the adoption of companion animals into responsible homes and reunites lost animals with their owners; promotes sterilization of animals to help reduce overpopulation; provides a facility accessible to the general public; serves the community with educational programs addressing animal welfare issues; and maintains a fiscally responsible organization.
