My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you searching for potential rather than polish?  Can you live with a diva as mercurial as she is gorgeous?

Meet Steely Jan (AKA Stormy), a beautiful 3 year old steel grey and cream kitty with LOTS of personality!

Since we know nothing about her previous life, we will have to assume that while she was in a loving household at one point, she ended up outside on her own under unknown circumstances.  Reasonably, she is wary of new people and since she can no longer defend herself with claws, she will bite when she feels threatened.  Because of that she will need patience, space, and time (a long handled back scratcher works for pets as you are getting acquainted!) to become comfortable in her new home.  A calm household without younger children and other pets is recommended.

What we do know is that she has shown vast improvement during the short time she has been in a foster home. If given space (and treats!), she will soon put you on her "no bite" list.  She now loves to be petted by her trusted people and will run to us for pets and treats. She is smart and loves treat puzzles and lick mats and will hide them in her kitty tunnel after she's done.  Have we mentioned that she likes treats?  While she occasionally plays with toys, she prefers watching squirrels from her chair and getting pets from her humans.

This beautiful girl deserves the right person to give her the time and space she needs for a happy ending to her story.
