Meet Mama Millie! She is the sweetest, most loving girl with a heart full of devotion. She is a 4-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who was rescued from the shelter along with her 9 babies. Millie has spent the last 6 weeks caring for her little ones and is now ready to spread her wings and find a forever home. She will be ready to go home the first week of January.

Millie is a gentle 16 pound girl who thrives on love and attention. She adores being petted and held, enjoys short walks, and is comfortable on a leash. Whether she is exploring the yard, soaking up the sunshine, or curled up on your lap, Millie is happiest when she is close to her people. She has no concept of personal space and happily shares nonstop kisses to remind you she loves you. Millie is not vocal, does well in the car, and gets along beautifully with other dogs big and small and everyone she meets. She is truly going to make the most loving and devoted companion.

We require an application, application approval, meet and greet, home check, adoption fee and a contract.

2 months -12 months: $425
1 year - 6 years $375
7 years+ - $325

Adoption fee includes :

Shots up to date of adoption, wellness exam, fecal test,
Spay/neuter, Micro-chip and any other medical needed.

We also require to stay first on the micro-chip info for life and have a life time return policy on all our rescue dogs adopted out.

Unfortunately, we do not adopt out of state under any circumstances. We recommend that you visit your local shelter or dog rescues in your area if you are looking to adopt.

More about this rescue

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
