My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bella 🌸🐾 a certified heart-stealer, professional cuddle enthusiast, and proud owner of the cutest ear situation you’ve ever seen. One ear stands straight up like she’s always listening for compliments, and the other flops over like it got distracted by love. It perfectly matches her personality: half playful goof, half gentle angel.

Bella is about 1 year old, and while we think she’s a shepherd /Husky mix, her true breed is clearly “perfect little love bug.” Just look at her happy smile and bright, soulful eyes; she has the kind of face that makes you feel instantly safe and adored.

If affection were an Olympic sport, Bella would take gold. She is incredibly loving, leans into her people for pets, and soaks up attention like it’s her full-time job. She happily lets you smother her with love, kisses, hugs, and face-to-face affection, and she gives that sweet “I can’t believe this is my life” look while you do it.

Watch Bella’s personality shine in her video!

Bella is currently living in a loving foster home, where she’s been doing wonderfully alongside other dogs and even with livestock nearby. She’s shown that she can handle a busy, real-life environment with grace — taking everything in stride and choosing kindness over chaos. Around her foster’s dogs, she’s gentle, playful when comfortable, and very respectful of boundaries. With the livestock next door, she remains calm and unbothered, showing just how thoughtful and adaptable this sweet girl truly is.

Despite being young, Bella is amazingly calm and easygoing. She’s not wild or chaotic, she’s more of a hang out with you on the couch, then politely ask to play kind of girl. Because of her mellow nature, apartment life could absolutely work for her, as long as she gets her daily love, walks, and a little playtime. But of course, she'd love to have a yard to run around if the zoomies come out to play!

Bella is a kind, polite doggy friend. She may take a moment to warm up (she likes to make sure you’re cool first), but once she’s comfortable, she enjoys playing and hanging out with her dog friends. She does best with dogs who respect her space and her signals, and she’s great at communicating in a calm, appropriate way.

She would love a dog sibling, but since she’s such a people-girl, she’d also be perfectly happy being your one-and-only spoiled queen.

Bella is curious but cautious with cats. She’s been around barn cats and mostly gives them space, acting a little unsure rather than reactive. During her cat test, she showed gentle curiosity but preferred to keep a respectful distance, especially if the cat moved suddenly. We think she has real potential to live with cats, especially calm ones who won’t invade her personal bubble.

An overnight or slow-introduction cat test would be ideal to help her build confidence and make sure everyone feels comfy.

Bella hasn’t been fully kid-tested yet, but she shows great potential. She is affectionate, tolerant, and gentle with handling, though she may be a bit shy at first with higher-energy kiddos. With calm introductions and a loving home, she could do wonderfully with children.

Bella’s dream home includes:

-Humans who love to cuddle (mandatory)

-Someone who appreciates goofy ears and soft noses

-A calm, loving environment

-Optional doggy siblings (bonus points!)

-Slow, gentle introductions to cats and kids

Bella is the kind of dog who will watch you with adoring eyes, press her head into your chest, and quietly become your shadow. She’s sweet without being overwhelming, silly without being wild, and loving in a way that feels really special.

If you’re looking for the best girl, the softest heart, and a dog who will love you with her whole soul — Bella is ready to be yours. 💕🐾

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
