Meet Sou, a lovable 17-pound cat with a sturdy build and a calm, confident vibe. Once a street cat lounging around a community garden, he quickly learned how to win over human hearts—one of the reasons we decided to rescue him!
Sou has a big passion for food and isn’t shy about sharing it. He’ll eagerly “chat” as he moves from room to room, making sure you know he’s ready for his next meal. But he is always gentle and polite; he’s persistent without ever being aggressive, bringing plenty of personality to every mealtime.
Currently, Sou is on a mission to lose weight gradually. While he can’t jump, when you call his name—especially at feeding time—he strides over confidently, as if he’s on his way to an important banquet.
When it comes to affection, Sou has his favorites. He particularly loves certain hand scratchers—specifically the blue ones, for reasons none of us fully understand—and isn’t afraid to let you know when you’ve hit the sweet spot. When he looks at you, you can feel that he truly understands you.
Sou South is around 1-2 years old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax)

Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee
* You must be 18 or older to adopt. If you’re under 18, you must have a parent or guardian submit an application on your behalf.
* All cats must be kept indoors. In special circumstances, we may waive this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
* We do not adopt to any home that will declaw an animal. Declawing is cruel and unnecessary.
* All cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
* Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or into a home with another active cat or cat-friendly dog.
* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
