My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Skye!

Skye is a senior female gray cat who is feeling understandably overwhelmed in the shelter and will need a soft landing in her next home. She spent many years in a calm household and is a very gentle, quiet soul at heart.

In her previous home, Skye was described as very calm, well-mannered, and easy to live with. She has no history of biting or scratching and is polite with handling, though she prefers short pick-up sessions and likes to keep all four paws on the ground.

Skye can be shy with strangers and loud noises, often choosing to hide until she feels safe, but this is consistent with her sensitive nature rather than fearfulness. She lived with older children and was neutral around them, and while she has lived with other pets before, she would likely appreciate a quiet, low-traffic home where she can be the center of attention or have very respectful animal companions.

Skye enjoys a peaceful routine, uses her vertical scratching post faithfully, and doesn’t ask for much—just patience, consistency, and kindness. With time and a calm environment, this sweet senior girl will blossom into a loyal, comforting presence in her adopter’s life.
