Freckles & Baby Girl: The Ultimate Dynamic Duo!
These two are the smartest Labs in the building. Bring some high-value treats to your meet-and-greet, and you’ll have friends for life!
Meet Freckles and Baby Girl, a bonded pair of one-year-old Labs who are ready to double the love in your home! These two are the definition of "best friends"—where one goes, the other follows.
Personality & Play
If you’re looking for entertainment, look no further. This pair loves to play, and they aren’t afraid to get a little rowdy with one another! Watching their wrestling matches is a daily dose of joy.
-Social Butterflies: They have never met a stranger! Both dogs absolutely adore people and will greet you with wagging tails and plenty of Lab kisses.
-Food Motivated: Want to get their attention? Just bring out the treats! Their love for food makes them incredibly easy to train.
Other Furry Friends
Baby Girl can be a bit selective about which dogs she wants in her "inner circle." Since Freckles takes his cues from her, they tend to feed off each other's energy.
-The Plan: They would thrive with a slow, patient introduction to new canine siblings.
The Ideal Home
-Activity Level: High! They need a yard or a family that loves long walks and play sessions.
-Training: They are eager to please and ready to learn all the tricks in the book.
Bonded Pair: These two should be adopted together—you can't have the "Freckles" without the "Baby Girl!"

We hope you meet your four-legged love at SPCA Florida! Our goal is to help you find a companion that best suits your household. We have wonderful animals available and a great deal of information to share with you.
Adoption Process
When you arrive at the Adoption Center we invite you to take a look around and meet the animals. We encourage you and your family to spend time with each pet you are interested in to see which is the best fit. Our trained staff and volunteers are happy to answer questions about the animals and provide you with whatever background information we have regarding that pet. Please keep in mind we do not always know all of the adoptable animals’ history or background depending on how they arrived at SPCA Florida.
If you currently have a dog at home we recommend you bring him or her in to interact with your potential new dog.
When you find a pet you would like to adopt the next step is to fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed with you by one of our trained counselors. The counselors will answer any questions you may have. If the pet is already sterilized he or she can go home the same day, otherwise the surgery is normally scheduled the next day and the pet can go home the day of surgery.
Adoption Fees
Adoption fees vary depending on species, breed and age. The fee includes:
•Spay/Neuter surgery for unsterilized pets
•Dogs are dewormed, tested for heartworms (if negative they receive a 30-day heartworm preventative; if positive a certificate for treatment paid for by the Guardian Angel Fund) and receive vaccinations for canine distemper, adenovirus type 2, parainfluenza, parvovirus and Rabies
•Cats are dewormed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids and receive vaccinations for feline distemper, rhinotracheitis, calici virus and Rabies
•microchip
•SPCA ID tag
•Dog leash or cat carrier
•Educational material
Other supplies are available for purchase in our adoption center lobby.
