Roxy is a very loving, and well-behaved dog that just doesn’t get along well with other dogs in the household, so she needs to be an only dog in the home. She has a very calm demeanor and likes to sleep and relax most of the day on her dog bed. She walks well on a leash and is friendly to other dogs while on her walks. She will bark when someone knocks on the door, because she is protective of her home, but is friendly to all humans she meets, in fact she is timid at first. She doesn’t jump, and takes treats very nicely. She is great with kids that are 8-12 year old and even sleeps in our 10-year-old's room with her.
We don’t know much about her history because she was picked up as a stray. According to the paperwork from the shelter, they think she is a 3-year-old Pitbull/Terrier Mix that is 53 lbs. She doesn’t have any medical issues other than some mild to moderate plaque on her teeth, and a dry coat that we have been treating with salmon oil in her food. She is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, microchipped, and licensed in the City of Aurora.
