Buttons is a handsome black and white gentleman with a big heart—and currently a little extra weight to love. This social, friendly boy truly enjoys being around people and will happily keep you company, whether you’re relaxing on the couch or moving around the house. He’s the kind of cat who likes to be involved and appreciates attention from his humans.
Buttons will be available as a foster-to-adopt kitty. He will need a dedicated adopter who understands the importance of a healthy weight-loss plan. Once Buttons safely sheds some pounds, he will need a dental procedure, which can only be done when he is at a healthier weight to ensure anesthesia is as safe as possible.
An ideal home for Buttons is one that’s committed to helping him succeed—monitoring his diet, encouraging gentle activity, and working closely with the shelter and his regular veterinarian to reach his weight-loss goals. In return, Buttons will reward you with affection, companionship, and the joy of watching him become healthier and more comfortable. If you’re patient, compassionate, and ready to help Buttons on his journey to better health, he just might be the perfect match for you!
