Last night, my husband and I went to a home to see a dog that was posted on FB for free. The dog was filthy, matted, and had a very large shock collar on its neck, which the dog was holding its head down just to carry the collar. The dog had old candy stuck under her chin, matted in her hair. The owners did not act nice to the dog in our presence. The owner demanded we pay her $100 for arehoming fee which we did. We did not care about the money, we only wanted to get this dog out of the situation. The owner did not provide us anything for the dog - no food, no beds, nothing. We believe they were not feeding her dog food, but most likely people food based on her presentation. The dog is approximately 15 pounds. The owner said the dog is 1 year old (11/20/24). She has not been spayed. She is very sweet with a great temperament. She has not gone to the bathroom in my house - only outdoors. She licks us and is very loving. She has not barked. We have 2 cats and they're getting along.
