AKA Best Girl! B.G. is a 10-year-old, 18.5-pound Dachshund mix who came to the shelter when her owner sadly realized they could no longer provide the care she needed. She was well-loved in her previous home and is looking for a family to spoil her during her retirement! B.G. is wonderful with other dogs, cats, children, and everyone she meets. She truly loves everyone and assumes everyone loves her in return (they do!). She also enjoys plush toys, wearing sweaters, and snuggling in bed. Most of all, she LOVES affection. B.G. is potty-trained and has excellent recall when her name is called!
B.G. is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. You can visit her at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

Cat and Dog survey may be filled out online at babinskifoundation.org, or in person at the facility.

The staff will review your application! Please bring all necessary documents such as pet lease agreements signed by your landlord.

OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
