Harlee is a 5-year-old Red Heeler/Shar Pei mix. She is house-trained, well-mannered, and loves to play fetch especially with a Frisbee. She is calm indoors, playful outside, and would do best in a quieter home with older kids or adults. While she gets along with other dogs, she tends to try and herd them, so she would likely do better as an only pet.
Harlee has ongoing allergy issues that cause her to itch, especially in the spring and summer. Her skin also produces oils that can lead to odor. These issues aren’t fully managed but can be helped with regular baths and occasional Benadryl. Anyone considering her should be prepared to stay on top of her basic skin care needs.
We are rehoming her because we have a one-year-old and one on the way. We both work full-time we simply don’t have the time or attention she needs. My son and I also have dog allergies that have progressed despite using air purifiers and limiting her access to different rooms.
