My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mama, a 3-year-old female cat with a gentle heart and a personality that’s still blossoming. She came to us as a stray and is taking her time settling in, showing us more of who she is each day.

Mama can be a bit shy with people at first and is still working on coming out of her shell. With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, she begins to relax and show her softer side. She may not rush into attention right away, but once she feels safe, her quiet sweetness truly shines.

This gentle girl would do best in a home ready to move at her pace and give her the time she needs to build trust. Mama has the potential to be a wonderful, loving companion for someone who understands that the best bonds are often formed slowly.

If you`re looking for a calm, sensitive cat and have a heart for helping one grow more confident, Mama could be the perfect match. Watching her gain confidence and feel secure will be incredibly rewarding.

Mama came to FVHA with some skin lesions and has been receiving care from our veterinary team. She has had two skin scrapes to check for parasites, both of which were negative, and she has received an antibiotic injection. Her skin is showing improvement, but if healing does not continue, she may need additional testing and/or treatment with her new family veterinarian.

We’re unsure of Mama’s experience with cats, dogs, or children, but our team is happy to guide you on slow, thoughtful introductions to resident pets or younger family members.

Mama is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.

If you have any questions about Mama, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, make an appointment to meet her online, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!
