My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“The eyes have it!” Wesley‘s eyes that look like they’re lined with eyeliner along with his remarkable coloring make him a real showstopper! Wesley is a 2yr old 46lb German Shepherd that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray. He has a relatively small frame for a German Shepherd. When he first got out into the yard he was so elated that he became very spirited, romping to and fro. Then he came back to me and wanted to be in close contact. He would go between my legs and rub up against me. He’s what we call a velcro dog. He’s very friendly and seeking attention. He would be your BFF. He was curious looking out the gate. He sits for treats, but would need to learn to take them gently. He’s very friendly, sweet, and well mannered. He walks OK on a leash. He would love a yard to play in and then come back in to chill out with his new family.
