My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bud is a beautiful senior boy who has known love and stability his entire life. He has been with the same person since he was a kitten, and now, at 13 years old, he finds himself navigating a big change. Bud is an indoor-only cat, litter box trained, microchipped, and in good overall health. He resembles a Siamese with his striking features and calm, observant presence.

Bud is friendly by nature, but understandably scared and unsure right now after being away from his longtime home. He prefers not to be picked up and does best when allowed to approach on his own terms. His favorite place is his cat tower, where he feels safe and spends much of his time watching the world quietly. Bud is used to being the only pet and has never lived with children, so he would thrive in a quiet, adult-only home where routines are gentle and predictable.

With patience, space, and kindness, Bud will settle in and form a meaningful bond with someone who understands senior cats and respects his boundaries. He doesn’t ask for much—just peace, safety, and someone willing to love him for who he is.

Bud deserves a calm, compassionate home where he can feel secure again and spend his golden years being cherished.

More about this shelter

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
