My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Eggnog, a 2-year-old female cat! She came to us as a stray.

Eggnog is a gentle and somewhat shy girl who is learning to feel more confident each day. She may take a little time to settle in, but she’s making progress day by day as she builds trust and opens up to the world around her. With patience and a calm environment, Eggnog continues to show more of her sweet personality.

As she grows more comfortable, Eggnog enjoys playing with toys, exploring her surroundings, and curling up near her people for cozy moments. She likes to balance quiet companionship with playful curiosity, making her a lovely fit for a home that appreciates a softer, more thoughtful cat.

Eggnog would do best with an adopter who understands that confidence comes with time and is happy to let her set the pace. In the right home, she will continue to blossom into a loving companion who enjoys both adventure and comfort.

Eggnog was treated for an upper respiratory infection (URI) while in our care. She does have some lingering nasal congestion, which may resolve once she settles into her new home, though it’s also possible she may have chronic rhinitis.

A skin scrape showed the presence of Demodex mites. These mites can be contagious to other cats but are not contagious to humans or dogs. Eggnog has received a long-acting topical treatment for the mites and is scheduled for a recheck toward the end of January. Until her recheck confirms she is clear, she will need to be kept separate from other cats.

We’re unsure of her experience with cats, dogs, or children. Our team is happy to guide slow introductions to resident pets or younger family members.

Eggnog is spayed and has received core vaccinations (feline distemper, rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.

If you have any questions about Eggnog, feel free to reach out at (920) 733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org, make an appointment to meet her online, or stop by during our open hours to take a look around!
