Introducing Chico! This sweet senior boy came to DASH from an overly full shelter in Indiana and was going to be euthanized for space. We couldn't let that happen, so he is now a DASH dog. He is very sweet, a little shy at first, but will warm up pretty quickly once he knows you. He gets along with other dogs, but has not been cat or kid tested. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program where he is working on his basic commands, as well as crate training, potty training and walking on a leash. He will also need regular grooming, so his new family or person must be ready to make sure he gets to a groomer regularly. He would be great for a senior looking for a lap dog and companion as he's not hyper, but is still playful. This guy just wants a soft bed and his person to give him all the love and attention he deserves for the rest of his life.
