Chili Pepper is in the house! This tiny chihuahua boy came to DASH when his person realized he needed a home and not to be living tied to a car bumper in a homeless camp. Do not let his size fool you, he has a larger than life personality and shows it to his current foster mom on the daily. He is very sweet and loves being in your lap or snuggled under a blanket. He does sleep under the covers with his foster mom every night. Since he has lived outside for some time, he is working on his potty training (doing well with both pee pads and going outside on a schedule), and his leash manners. He is not crate trained in his foster home and is not destructive. While he loves being in a lap, he is not a big fan of being carted around, he'd rather you give him a little help up and let him find his spot. He will also growl and show you his teeth at times, but not in any aggressive way (we think this was most likely his defense mechanism while living outside due to his small size), and his foster mom is working with him to let him know pets and love are ok and not scary. He gets along with the other small dogs in his foster home as long as they respect his space, but has not been kid or cat tested. This boy just needs a place to call his and to know he will always be inside for the rest of his life.
