Bourbon is SUPER sweet, affectionate, and a total little goofball. He loves attention and is happiest curled up in your lap, making biscuits and purring. He also has a special love for his cozy bed and will happily lounge in his carrier like it’s a first class suite.
Nearly a year ago, Bourbon found his way to us in the most unforgettable way. We spotted him near our home and expected him to run, but instead he ran straight into a lap and started purring instantly. After searching for an owner with no luck, we welcomed him into our rescue, and he has been stealing hearts ever since.
Bourbon is very food motivated and bonds closely with his people. He enjoys affection but also appreciates space when he needs it.
When Bourbon becomes overstimulated or stressed, he may nip. He does not break skin, but he uses his mouth to communicate that he has had enough. Because of this, he will need a home without small children and adopters who are comfortable reading cat body language and respecting his boundaries. He may always need a little extra understanding, and that is okay. He just needs the right match.
He can do well with other cats and dogs and may even benefit from having a playful feline friend.
Bourbon was previously adopted and returned through no fault of his own. He is ready for a forever home that embraces all of him and gives him the love and understanding he deserves.
Bourbon is neutered, up to date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV tested negative, and microchipped with lifetime registration. His estimated birthday is 3/24/24.

The first step is fill out our adoption application. This will allow us to match you with the little muffin(s) to complete your family!

Approve Application
Next we will review your application. Please be patient as we take the time to do this! We generally get back to applicants within 48 hours.

Meet the Pet
Once you are approved, you can schedule a video chat or meeting with the kittens! We are always happy to chat about our babies too.

Pay Fee
Our adoption fees help to cover some of the cost of vetting and allows us to save more cats/kittens!

Sign Adoption Contract
Once it is time to take your cat home, we will go over and sign our adoption contract.

Take the Pet Home
Finally it is time to take your fur baby home! We have poured our hearts into each of our rescue babies, so we love receiving updates!!

Through our adoption process we look for families who can provide their adopted cat/kitten with the vet care and attention they need. We also make sure they aren't adopting a pet when it isn't allowed in their lease. Our goal is to find loving, stable homes for all of our babies.
