Hello! My name is Hudson. I was adopted by my family from Puerto Rico when I was roughly 4 months old. I am currently about 2 years old and fully grown at about 50 pounds. My owners had me DNA tested, and I am truly a “Heinz 57” mix of several breeds which is common for dogs in Puerto Rico. But, I kind of look like a little sweet shepherd dog.
It was challenging to go from living in the streets to a loving home. So many changes and new things. Everyone has been so good to me. I am alittle shy of new people and things. My family tried to help me with my confidence by taking me to doggie training classes. They were so much fun, and I learned a lot of things: My name, to come when I am called, sit, lay down, shake, touch, go to my bed, go to my crate. When I do these things, I get treats! I really love treats. I love stuffed toys. You throw it, I go get it. Tug is fun too!
I am pretty independent sometimes. I like to sit on the couch by you. I like to be active, go for walks, play in the yard, and run.

While they love me, they have gotten overwhelmed with work and the needs of the kids so I don’t get to do the dog things that I like to do. That makes me restless. My family is always busy and in a hurry. That makes me anxious. My family knows this and have tried to help me, but feel that I deserve more than they can give for me to be the happiest and bestest boy that I can be.

The perfect home would be a person or a family that has more time at home to give me the time I need every day to play, run outside, learn new things, or go for a walk . . .or 2 every day. A consistent routine would be great!
I finally graduated from being crated all day, to be out and about in the house. I have not chewed on anything that I wasn’t supposed to and I have not had any potty accidents in the house.
I bark when someone comes to the door but I have learned to stop barking once I see who enters the house and they acknowledge my name. I would love a quieter home without lots of new people coming and going.
I especially love women, but also don't mind patient men who talk to me and tell me everything is ok!
I am a really good dog and am looking for a forever family who has more time and patience to help me live my best life!

* Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like.

Unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked.
