My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Everest, a 9-month-old male kitten who is quite simply the sweetest boy you'll ever meet 💙🐾

Age: 9 months old 🐱
Gender: Male 💙
Personality: Unbelievably sweet, gentle, and affectionate ✨😻
Diet: i/d (gastro support food) to keep his sensitive tummy healthy, comfy, and happy 🍽️💖
Bonded: With his brother Sharktooth 🦈💙
They are best friends who truly bring out the best in each other-whether they're zooming around playing, wrestling like kittens do, or relaxing curled up side by side 💤🐾

Everest's purr starts the moment you look at him-seriously! 😽💭 He absolutely adores attention and thrives on love. He's the perfect mix of playful and cuddly: always ready for a fun play session with toys 🧶🎾, then more than happy to settle in for snuggles and nap time with his people 🛋️💤

Gentle, loving, and full of charm, Everest has a way of making everyone around him smile 💕 His sweet nature makes him a joy to be around, and he would do best in a home that appreciates a kitten who wants to be close, loved, and included 🏡✨

With a little extra care for his tummy and a whole lot of love, Everest-along with his beloved brother Sharktooth-will make wonderful, affectionate companions for a very lucky family 💙🐾😻

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
