Introducing Mugs -- A Sweet, Snuggly Pup Ready for His Forever Home.
Mugs and his brother Bullseye came to us when the owner could no longer care for them. Mugs is a charming young pup (about six months old as of December 2025) with the perfect mix of playful puppy and relaxed couch potato. He is house and crate trained and goes right into his crate at bedtime, sleeping quietly through the night like a pro.
He walks well on leash and is food-motivated, which makes training much easier. So far, Mugs already knows "out" and "treats," and his foster is continuing to work with him on puppy basics like keeping all four paws on the floor when treats are involved.
Mugs can be a bit shy with new people at first, but he is friendly and warms up with gentle encouragement. Being a puppy, he absolutely loves to play with other dogs. He can be adopted with his littermate brother Bullseye, but if adopted separately, he would thrive as the second (younger) dog in the home, where he can follow the lead of an older dog. This setup will help boost his confidence, make training easier, and give him a built-in playmate.
If you're looking for a sweet, trainable pup who enjoys playtime and then happily settles in for couch cuddles, Mugs may be your perfect match. You can begin the adoption process for him right now by filling out an application on our website, www.humanecny.org; or email info@humanecny.org; or call us at (315) 457-8762.Contact HumaneCNY if interested in this animal.
