Dillan couldn’t be any cuter with his stand-up turned-over ears, big brown eyes and stunning brindle coloring! He’s a happy boy with a zest for life that’s infectious! Dillan is a 7mo old, 44lb Plott Hound/American pit mix that was surrendered to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 12/23. His previous owners stated that they weren’t prepared for puppy behaviors. The surrender form reported he had lived with dogs and children and got along with them. They said he knows the sit command and likes squeaky toys. I can attest that he loves toys and will entertain himself with them. He even will throw them in the air. Dillan is very energetic, but then he is a young puppy! He will need daily enrichment, walks, and playtime. Teaching basic commands is also advisable. He is such a happy puppy that his whole body wiggles along with his tail. He comes when he’s called. He’s friendly, exuberant and very sweet. He would do best with an active family with the yard to play in. After playtime he would like to come in to enjoy cuddle time so he can give you kisses. (He gives lots of kisses!!!)
